An experienced editor, writer and trainer, currently specialising in social policy, workplace issues, transport and the charitable and voluntary sector. He offers strong editorial management skills developed in both the public and commercial sectors. He has his own AppleMac system running Quark 4.0, with scanning, fax and email facilities. He has wide knowledge of print production. He has strong contacts in the political and industrial worlds and wide experience of dealing with people at all levels.

Neil's current work includes editing member-based magazines for three national charities and a major trade union. All projects involve commissioning/editing work and liaising with writers, photographers, designers and printers to ensure they reach out to their audiences in a professional and modern way. He teaches journalism at Birkbeck College, University of London, where he is also an internal course assessor. As a trained teacher, Neil has ran media training courses for the University of Westminster, Industrial Relations Services, Emap, the Labour Party and the TUC.
