The Freelance

LONDON Freelance Branch voted at its September meeting to elect an Assistant Editor for the Freelance, to work with the elected Editor. There will be some compensation for this work.

The post will involve keeping tabs on developments in the world of freelance journalism and writing them up for the printed newsletter and for the Branch website at www.londonfreelance.org. It would also be an extremely good idea if someone else was familiar with the processes involved in production and in maintaining the website. Willingness to learn the use of new computer programs will therefore be a definite advantage.

If you are interested in standing, please contact any committee member - see back page.

  • This issue is late due to changes in the Journalist mailing schedule and the Freelance editor eating something that disagreed with him at the critical time. Sorry.
  • The Freelance conveys the apologies of our mailing house for the late arrival of the September edition on paper. A confusion over the instructions initially led to it being sent to NUJ members except those who are members of London Freelance Branch.

Much of the Freelance is posted to the website well before it appears on paper. If you are not receiving e{mail contents listings and notifications of London Freelance Branch meetings, please take a minute to let the Branch know about you at www.londonfreelance.org/linkup.html
