NI demands free re-use of images

Freelance photographers who cover football for the News of the World have been told that they must allow free re-use of their images in the Sun.

Photographers are angry, but worried that they could lose their regular work with the titles if they voice their opposition.

NUJ Freelance Organiser John Toner said: "Not content with slashing freelance budgets and getting rid of long-serving 'casuals', NI now wants more work for less money. This requires a collective response."

NUJ photographers who are interested in working together to address this should contact the Freelance Office on freelanceoffice@nuj.org.uk
