British Library free WiFi
The British Library Readers Group (www.britishlibraryforum.org) have won an important concession from British Library management - the currently exorbitant charges for WiFi connections in the St Pancras site will give way to free WiFi on a six-month trial basis starting from 1 October. Until then, if the weather is good, you may be able to take your laptop out to the square at the front and pick up the no-password WiFi signal from a famously silent organisation down the road, in the normal way.
