Meet the candidates

AS NUJ members likely know, the NUJ is electing a Deputy General Secretary and is sending out ballot papers on 27 May. The job of the DGS is to advise, support and when necessary stand in for the General Secretary.

On Thursday 29 May, there will be a "hustings" meeting so NUJ members can find out in detail how the candidates stand.

The meeting is at 7pm the Guardian lecture theatre, 60 Farringdon Road, London EC1R 3GA. The nearest Underground stations are Farringdon and, rather to my surprise, Chancery Lane: map.

All candidates have been invited: the format will be that each gives a brief statement and then you put questions to each or all of them. If you have a question you want to put but can't be there on Thursday, email it to nujhustings@googlemail.com - one-liners are good.
