Pics returned - eventually

An officer of the law - photo © Alan Lodge
FREELANCE photographer Alan Lodge recovered, in April, the above photo of an armed Nottingham policeman in the streets of the city 25 months earlier. Alan stumbled across the incident during a routine shopping expedition. The memory card with the photo was seized by police and returned to Alan after 12 court appearances, a controversial conviction for "wilful obstruction of a constable in the execution of his duty" and £400 in court costs. Ironically, Alan helped draft Nottingham police guidelines on dealing with journalists, later adopted by police forces across the UK. Alan's complete set of pics is at http://returnedpics.notlong.com
