After another mandatory meeting, lasting ten minutes, journalists received assurances that no pay would be docked and there would be new talks over pay in 2013.

Newquest pay quest

Many journalists working for Newsquest titles have received only one pay increase of two per cent in the past four years. By comparison, inflation has risen by an average of three per cent each year. Newsquest journalists in York lost a day's pay for attending a 10-minute union meeting in November.
