Stress To Success Workshop

A NUMBER OF MEMBERS who have been in touch to enquire about the planned day workshop on stress have indicated that they are keen to attend both this event and the TUC march planned for the same day in support of the "Britain needs a pay rise" campaign.

The NUJ is hoping for a significant presence at the TUC demonstration on which General Secretary Michelle Stanistreet will be a speaker when it reaches Hyde Park.

This will be an important day for those who wish to show their support for the campaign, and since low pay can itself be a major cause of stress, we would not wish put our members in the position of having to miss one event to attend the other.

So, we have taken the difficult decision to re-schedule the Stress To Success workshop.

If you have already booked a place for the workshop we will of course be making a full refund and give you first booking preference when the new date is announced.

Thank you for your understanding and support. The regular Branch activities continue as normal.

There is a New Members' Meeting scheduled on 30 Octoner and two Branch meetings coming up on the 2014 calendar. On 13 October our guest speakers will be addressing black and ethnic representation in the media and on 10 November our subject will be digital publishing.

December is, as usual, the Branch Christmas Social.

Details of all Branch activity and events can be found on the homepage.

Hope to see you soon at one of the gatherings.
